Brand Strategy + Design

Spahce by Hannah

DESIGNING FOR PRESENCE

Spahce is a boutique wellness brand rooted in the idea that modern wellbeing isn’t about doing more — but about slowing down.

We shaped their brand and digital experience around that principle: natural rhythm. Using tactility-rich photography, a custom type with quiet symbolism, and a site design that invites patience rather than urgency, we helped translate ancient practices into a modern visual and emotional system.

Every detail — from partially framed portraits to incense captured mid-burn — was crafted to restore feeling and reintroduce presence into the digital space.

This was design not to impress, but to immerse.

ROOTED
Spahce is a boutique wellness practice offering yoga, cacao, sound healing, and therapies — rooted in the belief that reconnection with our natural rhythms is essential to modern wellbeing.

They needed an identity and experiences that felt grounded, tactile, and real — but modern in restraint and relevance. We were tasked with brand strategy, visual identity, and a digital experience that would capture presence, texture, and reverence — not just “wellness aesthetics.”
We used our proven framework, built on the largest objective research ever done on brand performance, to ensure the brand achieved salience through emotional connection, not superficial aesthetic.

This meant identifying the sensory, social, and symbolic drivers of modern wellness rituals — and designing for presence, not performance.
PATIENT ESCAPE
Wellness brands often drift into one of two clichés: overly mystical, or slick and surface-deep. Spahce needed to feel grounded and physical — a lived experience.

The challenge was to translate deep, sensory, in-person practices into a quiet, immersive digital space that respected their origins and made room for presence.
Using semiotic analysis and visual ethnography, we decoded the prevailing visual clichés in wellness — overly mystical minimalism or hyper-polished futurism — and located a whitespace for what we termed tactile spirituality: a brand language built on sensory realism and sacred restraint.
Material of moments
The spelling of Spahce carries quiet intention. A whispered ah, drawn from the sound of release and reconnection that anchors breathwork practice.

In the wordmark, we gave special typographic attention to the letters ‘a’ and ‘h’, to celebrate how breath connects physical practice with spirit, and with ritualistic practice.
Partial photography was used to draw attention inward — to skin, incense, shadows — inviting viewers to notice rather than scan.

By revealing only fragments, the imagery mirrors ritual itself: moment by moment focus on ritualistic acts and feelings.
SHAPING THE SPAHCE
The spelling of Spahce carries quiet intention. A whispered ah, drawn from the sound of release and reconnection that anchors breathwork practice.

In the wordmark, we gave special typographic attention to the letters ‘a’ and ‘h’, to celebrate how breath connects physical practice with spirit, and with ritualistic practice.

To shape Spahce’s custom typography, we looked not only to the flow of movement in yoga but to the architectural language of ancient sanctuaries. Inspired by the Rajasthani arches and Mughal jharokhas — ornate structures that frame sacred thresholds — we designed letterforms that subtly mirror these motifs.
This design wasn’t ornamental. It was intentional.

Just as yoga, breathwork, and sound healing help us navigate the tension between the inner strength and external pressure, the form of the arch holds opposing forces in harmony. The architecture of modern wellbeing.

Through this typographic gesture, we gave visual form to the brand’s essence: a quiet invitation to enter a space dedicated to rhythm, to presence, and to a body that’s loved.
tactile tone
Spahce’s typography is rooted in quiet contrast. We paired Nudica, used in headings and subtext, for its gentle humanism and print-friendly clarity, with Times Now, a contemporary serif that carries the familiarity of tradition while feeling unmistakably current.

This balance allowed us to speak in a voice that felt at once romantic and readable, ritualistic and refined. The result is a typographic system that feels lived-in, but never ornamental — a visual breath between lineage and clarity.
The palette draws directly from Essaouira’s earth — sun-washed stone, cacao, and plastered warmth — to ground the brand in natural texture and tonal depth.

Each shade was chosen not just for beauty, but for its ability to evoke place, touch, and temperature. Deep, solid hues bring weight and ritual; lighter tones offer space and softness.

Together, they create a sensory field that's vibrantly grounded in earth and it's natural cycles, whilst mirroring the amorphous human complexities of spiritual practice.
impact of intention
Spahce now stands as a quiet force in the wellness space — elegant but grounded, ancient and ritualistic yet designed for modern life.
Since launch, the studio has developed a fully booked class schedule and formed new creative partnerships, including collaborations with innovative experiential spaces.
Making presence matter
Spahce is not just a brand to be seen, it's a place to return to and immerse in.

From architectural typography to earth-rich tone, from partially revealed imagery to a site that rewards stillness.
Through breath, symbolism, and sensory depth, Spahce became more than design. It became a return: to rhythm, to ritual, to what matters.

A system built for patient presence.
